Honestly, even for most experienced delivery drivers, it can be pretty confusing. To help, we have put together a single resource where you can learn exactly how to use the card. This article will answer all of your questions…
Some Postmates orders require that the driver pays for the order at the restaurant/merchant. The money will not come from your wallet and the card covers the cost of merchandise with a pre-approved amount for each selected order. The Postmates Card is sent to Drivers by the San Francisco based food delivery service once you apply for a delivery driver job with the welcome kit so that these orders can be paid for by Postmates.
These cards arrive in the mail and are activated by the driver directly in the Postmates driver account.
Link your credit card to your account is an important step. Indeed Postmates will not start the background check process until your card is not activated.
You can activate your Postmates PEX card directly from your Fleet app or your driver account from any browser. For both methods you need a WI-FI connection.

You can only use the Postmates credit card to pay for a Postmates customer order at the correct time and at the correct restaurant/merchant. The card will only charge the pre-approved amount of money due to the merchant.
Finally, Postmates drivers are independent contractors. This means that Postmates will not pay for the gas or the wear and tears of your car.
The best thing you can do to save the money is to track your business mileage for tax deductions.
